Who Are We?
The Patriot STEM Academy is reimagining how we teach the next generation of innovators. We have a special focus on how engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and technological innovators learn best: by doing!
Patriot STEM Academy will launch serving students in grades 3 and 4, with a long-term growth goal of expanding into a full K–8 magnet school. This is exciting news, as our incoming 3rd and 4th grade students will be able to continue with Patriot STEM Academy all the way through 8th grade!
For us, the name “Patriot” honors the proud traditions that came before us while looking boldly toward the future. It represents more than a school, it reflects a commitment to our community, a spirit of collaboration, and a dedication to developing the next generation of Idaho leaders. What Makes Us Different?

At Patriot STEM Academy, we don’t just memorize facts on flashcards. We master the core subjects by solving complex problems within our own community. Our projects integrate math, technology, science, and more into an amazing learning experience.

From engineering solutions to local issues to testing real scientific theories, our students gain practical skills they can use outside the classroom.

Patriot STEM Academy is Open! We have 3rd and 4th grade classes for the 2026-27 school year!

This year, SY 2026-27 we have 3rd and 4th grade classes.
SY 2027-28 we will have 2nd-5th grade classes.

Yes. Each year, we will add one grade level above and one grade level below until we grow into a full Kindergarten–8th grade school.

Absolutely. Our founding students will have the opportunity to continue with Patriot STEM Academy all the way through 8th grade as we expand. We hope they will then choose to join the Nampa STEM Academy at Columbia High School for grades 9-12.

Patriot STEM Academy has partnered with Owyhee Elementary in Nampa and will be housed there for the first two school years. After that time, the plan is to transition into our own dedicated building.

Patriot STEM Academy will follow the Nampa School District calendar and daily schedule.

Yes. Patriot STEM Academy is a public school.

No. As a public school, there is no cost to attend.

Yes. Busing will be available for students who live within Nampa School District boundaries. Bus stops and times will be determined and published on a timeline similar to the rest of the district over the summer months.

If applications exceed available enrollment slots, we plan to hold a lottery on March 26, 2026.

Mr. Pruett has been assigned to lead Patriot STEM Academy next year. Teaching staff assignments will be finalized at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.

The 3rd and 4th grades are pivotal moments in your child’s education. It’s a time when they begin discovering their interests, building new skills, and developing a deeper love for learning.
